Igor Chirashnya is a multifaceted individual, blending the roles of entrepreneur, business owner, accomplished writer, and dedicated father to four competitive fencers. Alongside his wife, Irina, Igor co-founded the Academy of Fencing Masters in 2013, a fencing club located in Campbell, CA. What started as a passion project has flourished into one of the largest and most successful fencing clubs in the nation, specializing in the art of epee fencing.

Prior to his venture into the fencing world, Igor enjoyed a prosperous career in the Hi-Tech industry. Motivated by a lifelong love for fencing, he made the bold decision to pivot his career toward his true passion and establish a hub for fencing enthusiasts.

 

In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Igor is the creative force behind the Academy of Fencing Masters blog—a go-to resource for fencing parents and athletes alike. His insightful articles cover various aspects of sport parenting, making it an invaluable guide in the fencing community. As an accomplished author, Igor has penned a non-fiction book titled "From Cool Running to World Superpower: The Rise of American Fencing." Furthermore, his fiction debut, the highly successful novel "Breaking News of Tomorrow," showcases his versatility and storytelling prowess.

 

Igor resides in San Jose, CA, with his wife Irina, their four children (three of whom are avid fencers), and two dogs. His journey is a testament to the transformative power of pursuing one's passions and the boundless potential within the world of fencing.
