Mr. Greg Kaidanov's Apology is Accepted!

To the USA Fencing Community, Fair Fencing Organization, Ms. Marianne McInerney, and Mr. Charles Wang,

On or about December 10, 2024, in a discussion in this Facebook group of fencing sport addressing a Fox News report about certain motions by board directors of USA Fencing, I made some regrettable statements referring to the “Chairperson” and “a Board Member” of an organization having “outstanding warrants for billions of dollars stolen through some kind of fraudulent scheme”, which could reasonably be understood to mean Ms. Marianne McInerney, Mr. Charles Wang, and the Fair Fencing Organization (FFO).

While I disagree with many of the social and political positions taken by the Fair Fencing Organization, I understand that my statements I expressed in that discussion were ill advised and were unnecessary personal attacks. I regret that I crossed the line from robust discourse and dialogue to personal attacks. I let my emotions get the better of me. My statements may have led to misunderstandings about the character and integrity of the Fair Fencing Organization, Ms. Marianne McInerney, and Mr. Charles Wang.

I apologize for any distress or damage these statements may have caused. It was never my intention to mislead or harm, and I regret any negative impact my words may have had. As a showing of my sincere apology, I will be making a donation to the Peter Westbrook Foundation to show that, while we may have political disagreements, we all care for the sport of fencing.

I appreciate Fair Fencing Organization, Ms. Marianne McInerney, and Mr. Charles Wang’s willingness to accept my apology. While we may have political disagreements, we all agree that the matter regarding my December 2024 statements is resolved between all those involved, and no further comments are required or will be made on this matter by any of us.
